Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean with Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. Her mother is of Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children from her father's previous marriage. After having lived with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years The family moved to Victoria. Taylor-Joy stated that the move had been traumatic, and refused to go back to school in English because she hoped to return to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was required to enroll her. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. In her 16th year she left school to pursue a profession acting full-time. Taylor-Joy was destined to be an actress from a very young age. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling gig.
